Providence?

I had run out of cigarette rolling papers. Having resorted to some lower form of ingenuity in fasioning a receipt as wrapping, I smoked it regardless of whether there was truth in what someone said about bleach being used to treat the (receipt) paper during recycling.

There was a gentleman reading a book seated three seats away from me. I hadn't noticed it until he lifted his book to reveal a packet of Drum Rolling Tobacco beneath--I thought "Something is at work here."

Was it coincidence that he's smoking exactly what I am? I don't know, but I hardly see people rolling cigarettes around. I kindly asked him for a piece and he obliged; how nice, because he offered me more, but I was satisfied with just one. It feels like a higher power is encouraging the smoking habit.

This is the only memory that stands out about the night spent aside from wondering why I decided to loiter about in a bowling alley, as my friends bowl away for about two hours while I happily watched.
